The next Alternative Careers in Science Seminar is coming up!

This time, we are happy to welcome Dania Rose-Sperling (FSU Jena) and Jacob Pullin (HiFe Plants).

Dania is a trained biochemist and now the Scientific coordinator of the LIFE profile & Balance of the Microverse at the FSU Jena - talking with her will be especially interesting for those of you who want to take the next steps after the PhD/Post-Doc into Scientific Management and Scientific Coordination.

Jacob is also a biochemist by training and later specialized to understand how plants manage iron homeostasis and how these mechanisms could be exploited to improve nutrient uptake in crops. He is CEO and founder of a start-up aiming to provide high-iron peas to combat iron deficiency. Jacob might be interesting if you want to talk to a young founder turning his research into a start-up idea.
