Join us for the JSMC Retreat 2026 – Paddling Tour! 🌊

This relaxed day caps off our two-day retreat - perfect for unwinding, enjoying nature, and spending time together. Enjoy a peaceful day on the water, connect with colleagues, and end the retreat on a high note.

Like in previous years, our boat trip will take us on a scenic tour on the river Saale from the city centre to Dornburg. You will get some nice views of the surrounding nature and the Dornburg castles which is up the hill. There will be 12-15 people per rubber boat.

Additional information on meeting points, shuttle arrangements, safety instructions, and provided life vests will be shared closer to the event with all participants! Your PhD representative Gary Eidkum will accompany the tour and be your point for questions during the day.
