Workshop: Conflict Management and respectful communication

The Workshop is part of the Postdoc Appreciation Week (PAW2026), and is open to postdocs as well as PhD cadidates.

How can I remain capable of taking action in difficult situations without losing myself—and navigate complexity instead of trying to resolve conflicts prematurely?

Topics will include: Reflecting on personal conflict and stress patterns, better understanding conflicts, distinguishing observation from evaluation, addressing difficult topics, dealing with criticism and accusations, de-escalation in acute situations, developing concrete phrasing.

Practical exercises: Working on personal situations or case studies and testing concrete conversation strategies
