Dr. Annika Bartsch
Seminar room 101, JSMC Building
Mandatory workshop for all mentees of the third round of the JSMC Career Mentoring
The start of a mentoring relationship is exciting for everyone involved - mentees, mentors and coordinators - and comes with its own set of expectations, desires, uncertainties and ideas. The kick-off workshop for mentees is designed to help you get off to a good start in the mentoring process.
It focuses on the following topics:
- Foundations: The structure, goals, and core functions of mentoring
- Roles & Boundaries: Understanding your responsibilities as a mentee and managing expectations (both yours and your mentor’s)
- Topics and Relationship Management: Identifying focus areas and preparing for your first meeting
- Self-Assessment: Evaluating your current position and defining your professional trajectory
- Goal Setting: Formulating concrete objectives you wish to achieve through mentoring?
