Recognizing Outstanding Commitment in the JSMC Community
The JSMC is proud to recognize members of its community who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment to the success of their peers and the broader graduate school. This year, the JSMC Community Impact Award was launched and awarded for the very first time. Sophie Neumann, Lena Gauthier, and Dr. Sarah Nettemann were honoured for going above and beyond in contributing to the JSMC community.
The awardees have distinguished themselves through sustained engagement in multiple aspects of the JSMC. Their contributions include but are not limited to supporting fellow doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, organizing events such as the JSMC Midsummer Science Slam, and fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange across research groups.
Through their dedication, these outstanding members exemplify the values of proactive engagement, mentorship, collaboration, and community that are central to the mission of the JSMC. Their work not only ensures that the JSMC continues to thrive as a vibrant, supportive, and intellectual environment but also inspires their peers and enhances the overall experience of all JSMC Doctoral and Postdoctoral Researchers.
We warmly congratulate Sophie Neumann, Lena Gauthier, and Dr. Sarah Nettemann for their exceptional commitment to the JSMC and thank them for their invaluable contributions.
